Foundation is a makeup product which I generally do without on quite a regular basis. I like that feeling of breathable skin so I tend to reserve foundation for when I’m going out or special occasions. Since I don’t buy foundation often, when I do I always go for a brand which is well recommended and the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is my latest love.
I love wearing blusher and must admit that I always opt for it in favour of bronzer. I like to keep my makeup looking natural and I wouldn’t be able to do so without the help of my top 3 favourite blushers: Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel in Bronze Corail, MAC Sheertone Blush in Peaches and Topshop Blush in Flush.
This weekend I’m excited to say that I have purchased my first ever MAC lipstick! I’ve never considered MAC as a go to brand for lipsticks especially with brands such as L’Oreal, Revlon and Rimmel who have an extensive offering of lipsticks already. However lately I’ve come across a fair few reviews about them so in order to see if they live up to their hype, I decided to buy one and chose the shade ‘Cut A Caper’.
Now I know you may be thinking it that it sounds strange to be mentioning Christmas in the middle of July, but after attending Monty PR’s Christmas Press Day, I couldn’t be more excited about it now!
I’ve never really got into “dieting” and am a firm believer in a well balanced, nutritious diet combined with exercise to maintain an optimum body weight. Plus I enjoy food too much to ever be able to give it up! So despite this being a ‘Detox Diet’ I was more sold by the word “Detox”.

It’s also great for discovering a great range of products and lust after new ones! Today I’m going to let you take a peek inside my makeup bag and show you the products which I’ve been carrying around with me.
On the 5th July I was kindly invited to the launch of the new make up studios at Precious About Makeup (PAM) – A cosy makeup shop in Goldhawk Mews, London who specialise in “Film, TV, Stage and Professional Beauty Makeup”. PAM stock top brands which we all know and love such as Make Up For Ever, Illamasqua and Ben Nye to name a few.
Having suffered eczema from childhood, I can fully understand how frustrating it is to have dry and irritated skin. Fortunately my eczema is much more at bay these days and I only really have flare ups every now and then, which is what I experienced after coming back from my recent holiday. Despite having a fantastic time, I don’t think the sun and the heat helped matters much, so it was lucky I remembered the Selexir Peace Balm.
Firstly sorry for the lack of posts last week! I’ve been suffering from a bout of vertigo which left me feeling like I was constantly spinning, therefore my concentration was not at its best…
Anyway I’m now feeling back to my normal self and am ready to do some blogging! I’m going to get started off with my review of the Shu Uemura UV Under Base Brightening Mousse.
