Favourite Skin, Body and Hair Care Products 2012
Ok, so my last post was on my Favourite Makeup Products 2012 which I thoroughly enjoyed writing! I hadn’t quite realised that I had that many favourite products! Anyway, I hope you’re ready for part 2 – My Favourite Skin, Body and Hair Care Products 2012!
Cleansers and Skin Care
I don’t have an excessively long skin care regime. I just use a few products that work for my skin and every so often I’ll mix it up a little and try something new! This past year I have used a number of cleansers/creams for my face, but have settled on this selection as my favourites for 2012:
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm – This is actually my holy grail cleanser, without a doubt. It removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin feeling smooth and glowing! You have to try it if you haven’t already!
Eysilix – I wasn’t in love with this eye cream at first but after using it for a little while now I’ve noticed just how great it’s been for keeping the area around my eyes really moisturised. It’s a lovely lightweight texture and blends very easily. The first eye cream I’ve stuck to in a long time!
Hydraluron – This serum has completely blown me away! You only need a pea sized amount (if that!) to cover your face after cleansing and before moisturiser. It instantly hydrates skin, smoothing out any dryness making it a doddle to apply any products over the top.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream – I’ve never really used any Body Shop products aside from their body butters and lip balms but having started using the Vitamin E cream I’ve noticed how plump and glowing my skin has been looking! Throughout winter especially my skin hasn’t been particularly hydrated, but The Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser has certainly kept my face looking at its best!
Origins Super Spot Remover – This is a miracle product in a bottle! I tend to use the super spot remover at night time before bed. One dab of this on a spot or potential spot, when you wake up the area is visibly reduced! This has come to my rescue on more than one occasion and is just amazing!
Mandara Spa Honeymilk Dream – This has been one of the nicest body butters I’ve used! It feels quite light for a body butter and blends into my skin really well. It smells so delicious as well which is one of the reasons why I like it so much. I did get a bit overexcited and ended up using it all before I’d reviewed it but I’ll definitely be repurchasing so will share an in depth review later!
Nivea Shower Gel – I think this range was only launched earlier this year but Nivea’s shower gels are definitely a favourite of mine! This is just one of the scents I love using, but there’s also Happy Time (Orange Blossom scent), Powerfruit Relax (Acai Berry fragrance) and all the others! The formula is rich, some creamy and all lather up really well. There’s nothing worse than a thin shower gel and I’ve definitely noticed some brands seem to have watered down their formulas so you have to use so much more. Cashmere Moments however is just perfect!
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Fast Absorbing Hand Cream and Concentrated Hand Cream – This is the only hand cream duo I use. When my hands are feeling particularly dry and rough I rub some of the Concentrated hand cream in first then apply the Fast Absorbing hand cream. The formula is non greasy so it’s great to use during the day or night, but I find if I apply this before bed I wake up with the smoothest, softest hands ever.
Aussie Mega Shampoo and Take The Heat 3 Minute Treatment Conditioner – This has been my favourite hair care duo for a while now so it’s not really a surprise that it was still my favourite in 2012! The shampoo really cleanses my hair and the conditioner locks in moisture, leaving my hair super soft. I’ve been using Aussie for years and although I’ve tried other brands I do end up always going back to them.
Moroccanoil – Having started using Moroccanoil I don’t think my hair has ever looked healthier and glossy. I like running it through the ends of my hair when damp and when dry it’s such a breeze to brush later. I’m definitely going to be buying a full sized bottle when I run out because this stuff is incredible! Definitely one of the best purchases of 2012.
Well there you have it, my favourite skin, body and hair care products 2012! I wonder how many products might make it through to next year’s favourites too!? 🙂 Here’s part 1 – Favourite makeup products 2012 in case you missed it!
