Professional Beauty Show 2014
Last weekend on Sunday 23rd February I popped along to the Professional Beauty Show 2014 at the ExCeL Centre. It was my first time attending the show but I can tell you now it was definitely worth the visit!
As with any other trade show there was naturally A LOT of people, mostly salon owners or people within the industry but as far as I know it was open to the general public too. There were especially large crowds gathered around popular and familiar brands such as NYX (I really wanted their Butter Glosses but they had sold out of the shades I wanted!) and O.P.I which has pretty much every nail colour known to man available. Something new which I noticed from O.P.I were some pretty fun looking hand creams called AVOJUICE which smelt deliciously fruity and reminded me very much of Starburst sweets!
There were some interesting new brands which I’d never come across before such as Silk Oil Of Morocco which seemed very popular too and they had an extensive range of Argan Oil products for hair and body. Some familiar names such as Dr Renaud and AHAVA also caught my attention and I could see that they still stocked my favourite Dr Renaud Raspberry Soft Mask* and AHAVA Eye Makeup Remover.*
As if that wasn’t enough of a selection, the Professional Beauty Show 2014 also played host to some luxury brands too like Clarins, Decléor, Aromatherapy Associates and Caudalie! From Clarins I definitely had my eye on the Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base but since there wasn’t actually any discount available, I decided to wait until my spending ban is over before taking the plunge. Aromatherapy Associates also had a gorgeous selection of candles which have gone straight onto my wish list!
I must say though that my personal favourite brands of the day had to be Essie (which resulted in me breaking my spending ban *slaps wrist*) and also HD Brows because I was mesmerised by their brush range. The brush I wanted (resembles a MAC 217 brush but with firmer bristles) however isn’t available for another few weeks, good thing I guess as I’m still on my 100 Day Spending Ban, wahey! 🙂
All in all I had a fab day, thanks Fei @Peonies and Lillies for being such great company!
So did you get a chance to attend the Professional Beauty Show 2014 this year?
