Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Review
Foundation is a makeup product which I generally do without on quite a regular basis. I like that feeling of breathable skin so I tend to reserve foundation for when I’m going out or special occasions. Since I don’t buy foundation often, when I do I always go for a brand which is well recommended and the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is my latest love.
The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation has certainly mades its debut across many blogs but I can definitely see why! I use the shade ‘True Nude’ and think it’s a lovely foundation with medium coverage. It really gives the appearance of a radiant glow and certainly does the job of making you look more awake. There is SPF 15 included too so it helps to protect your face from harmful UV rays which is particularly important seeing as we’ve had such nice sunny weather lately!
To apply I use my Real Techniques buffing brush and gently smooth onto my skin in circular motions. I focus mainly on the area around my nose and across my cheeks which is where I tend to experience oil and redness. I have combination skin and I think the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation holds up brilliantly for a good number of hours before I need to consider touching up.
For a high street foundation it does a great job and could easily rival some of the higher end ones, but at a fraction of the price. The only downside really is the shade selection which is pretty limited.
The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is priced at £8.99 and can be found across the usual high street retailers such as Superdrug and Boots.
Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts overall?
