Nail Of The Day: Models Own Nude Beige Nail Polish

Hi everyone!

As you can see my Nails Of The Day have become a bit of a weekly feature! :) Lately I’ve been more interested in painting my nails than normal, probably due to the spring/summer season and because I just can’t resist the range of gorgeous nail shades available :) I hope you are enjoying them!

So today I opted for a more subtle nail and have used Models Own Nude Beige nail polish.

I picked up this Models Own nail polish on a recent trip to Boots (in London) as it was included in their latest 3 for 2 promotion!

Models Own nail polish is such good quality! The lacquer is quite thick so after 1 coat my nails are already quite opaque, but a little patchy. 2 coats as always gives an even finish and colour.

I really like this Nude Beige shade as I find it makes my hands look slimmer and longer! It’s definitely a cross between nude and beige, but reminds me of a milky coffee colour! With the flash though, the colour looks similar to a light taupe, which makes it that little bit more interesting!

I only own 1 other nail polish by Models Own (Models Own Beetlejuice Emerald Black), but like the Revlon ones I’m certainly keen to start collecting! Especially having seen the latest Beetlejuice range on Models Own website. At £5 per bottle, it’s certainly tempting to grab a few (maybe more) bottles!

What are your thoughts on Models Own nail polish? Have you got a favourite shade to recommend?

Love Sophia xo

have you tried the beauty uk shatter varnish. i bought a triple set today, the gold, silver and black from superdrug. my daughter painted my fairly short nails in a bright red then went over in the black shatter varnish, not sure if its just the way she did it or that my nails are too short to get the full effect or the fact its been so long since i have worn nail varnish that at the moment it hasnt grown on me, once i get some remover i will do it myself picking colours i like from my daughters stash lol.

Hi! No I’ve never tried the Beauty UK Shatter Varnish! Would you recommend it? There are so many different versions of the shatter varnish now. I’ve heard Barry M have a good selection of these shatter polishes :)

i cant really say if i would recommend it just yet, i will try again with different colours and polishes while im off work as we are not allowed it working in a kitchen. i think my daughter may have applied it to my nails to thick as when i washed up the next day it just flaked of, i do think for a night out it might be ok but for gneral day wear yet to be decided, my nails arent long or in good condition and do suffer a lot in my job
