The Christmas Tag 2014
It’s the 1st December so it’s officially okay to talk CHRISTMAS! With only 24 days to go, there was no better way to start the festive month than to do a Christmas Tag. So here we go…
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
I have so many favourite Christmas films but if I had to choose my top 3 it would be Love Actually, Serendipity and Elf!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Sometimes we open one present on Christmas Eve but almost always we will open presents on Christmas morning (well more afternoon in our household, ha!)
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I remember one year when I was younger, I’d gone to a lot of effort to make sure that I didn’t forget to leave a mince pie and carrot out for Santa and Rudolf on Christmas Eve. It’s not a tradition I’ve ever done before or continued to do after but this one year it meant a lot to me. The next morning when I came downstairs, I was more overjoyed by the fact that the mince pie and carrot had gone and thinking Santa was real than I was about my presents. Turns out my mum ate the mince pie and I later at the carrot during Christmas dinner, but it was a memory that’s always stuck with me, haha!
4. Favourite festive food?
Mince pies and custard are a winner for me.
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
One year I received an iPod from my boyfriend and he had it engraved with the some sweet words at the back. For fear of embarrassing him should he read this I won’t say what it he wrote, but I loved it and still have it. 🙂
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I love orangey/cinnamon/spicy scents. I was tempted to place an order for some Yankee candles at the weekend but made a sensible decision not to (need to save money for presents), but Christmas Eve and Christmas Memories was top on my list though!
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We don’t have any special traditions other than watch all the Christmas Eve TV, drink hot chocolate and maybe have a mince pie or three.
8. What tops your tree?
A star that me and my brother made when we were kids. It’s still going strong!
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Not sure about how crazy and wild this is but I really wanted the Barbie Glamour Camper van but never did despite it being a recurring item on my wish list. Although everything I’ve ever received I’ve loved so it all worked out anyway.
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
I love spending time with my family, watching tv and eating LOTS of food. I like the spirit of togetherness and the fact that everyone is almost always happy during the holidays.
And those are my answers to the Christmas Tag which I found on the lovely Fee’s blog here.
Are you looking forward to Christmas?
