Mother’s Day Gift Guide
It’s the second week of March now which means that not only is spring around the corner, the clocks are going forward soon (yay for brighter evenings!) but it’s also Mother’s Day coming up! For those of you in need of some last minute gift inspiration, I’ve put together a little Mother’s Day Gift Guide to give you some ideas! Mother’s Day falls on Sunday 15th March this year so there’s just 2 days left to pick the perfect gift for your mum!
Chocolate
Like with many other occasions, chocolate is probably one of the most popular choices for gift giving! These Charbonnel et Walker Pink Champagne Truffles (along with the whole range in fact!) will be sure to put a smile on mum’s face and there’s always that possibility that she’ll share them *hint hint*.
Cups & Mugs
If your mum is like mine and loves a good cuppa then she’d probably love a new cup to sip that tea in! This cup and saucer set from the Victoria and Albert Museum will sit pretty on any table and there’s nothing quite as satisfying as drinking tea from a proper china cup and saucer.
Candles
Candles are one of my favourite gifts to give. They envelope you in their warming scents and instantly make a room feel more cosy. Even though the weather is getting warmer, it’s not too warm yet that you can’t burn a few candles around the house. This Yankee Candle in Cherry Blossom will be perfect for the upcoming spring!
Skin Care
As I ebb further into my twenties I’ve been making a more conscious effort to look after my skin which was about the same age that my mum started to invest more into skin care too. This beautiful Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 25th Anniversary Silver Edition gift set is not only stunning, it also comes with a logo embossed mirror with silver pouch. What’s more, Elemis are also donating to the charity ‘Wellbeing of Women’ – a charity dedicated to improving the health of women and babies, for every jar sold.
Tea
As mentioned my mum loves tea and I think this lovely loose Earl Grey Tea from Whittards (which comes with the strainer) is the perfect gift combo for Mother’s Day. All you’d then need is some cake and biscuits and you could treat mum to a lovely afternoon tea at home!
Books
I think books make such a thoughtful gift whether it’s fiction or a recipe book. With healthy eating taking the nation by storm, this Hemsley and Hemsley recipe book by Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley will not only make meal times healthier but flavoursome at the same time!
Flowers
Last but not least, the ultimate Mother’s Day gift has got to be flowers. Especially with spring finally emerging there are some beautiful varieties of flowers out there which you can either put together yourself and arrange a lovely bouquet or pick up a nice bunch from the local florist.
And that’s it for my Mother’s Day gift guide! I hope it comes in handy for all you last minute shoppers out there. 🙂
Have you got anything planned for Mother’s Day?
