I originally had my heart set on the ‘In The Light’ palette, but after much umming and ahhing I decided on Stila’s ‘In The Moment’ eyeshadow palette. I generally wear subtle colours (taupe, bronze and gold) during the day time and for work but every now and then I like to add a pop of colour which is why ‘In The Moment’ was the ultimate balance.

Stila’s ‘In The Moment’ palette comprises of 10 iridescent eyeshadows. On the top row is is a gorgeous variety of purples with a highlighter shade and the second row is a choice of neutral shades. It also comes with a full sized Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in the colour ‘Tetra’, a deep shimmery plum.

The eyeshadows are richly pigmented with a healthy amount of shimmer. Worn wet or dry, they apply well with either fingers or a brush and are very blendable.

You can achieve an effortless day time look and evolve into an evening look by layering on some of the richer purple shades and applying the smudge stick waterproof eyeliner. The smudge stick actually does not budge after application and the only way to remove is with makeup remover. Bye bye panda eyes! Also if you’re stuck for ideas on what eye looks to wear there’s also a small booklet tucked inside to give you a hand.

For £25 I think this is great value for money (1 shadow alone is £12!) and the added bonus of the smudge stick too (£13). This would make for a worthwhile alternative to the popular Urban Decay Naked Palette if you’re looking for a variation in colours.
