Daily Skincare Routine

This post has been on my list of things to blog about for a while now but somehow I always seem to get a little side tracked, hence the delay! Today however is the day, and it’s just really to share with you my current daily skin care routine and the products I’ve been using!

Daily Skincare Routine 1

First things first I cleanse my face, morning and night is the general rule (I think that applies to just about everyone though?) In the morning I’ve been using the Laboratoires Filorga Mousse Démaquillante foam cleanser which I received in the amazing goody bag from the BBloggersxmas event! Foaming cleansers can often dry out my skin, but it’s surprisingly more gentle than I expected. For night time cleansing I always use the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm. As you will see from my review, this product is definitely my holy grail of cleansers. When used with the Sculpt Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloth it also acts somewhat like an exfoliator which is another reason why I absolutely love this cleansing balm!

After cleansing I’ll proceed to apply my chosen lotions and potions which come in the form of: Eysilix Instant Eye Rescue eye cream which I apply on the socket bone around the eye. Admittedly I have been lazy at times and may have skipped this once or twice in the morning, but I’m trying to be good and apply it day and night! Next comes serum and I (along with many others I’m sure!) am obsessed with Hydraluron! It just gives that added boost of moisture which my skin needs, especially in this weather and it smooths my face ready for applying moisturiser. My favourite moisturiser at the moment is still The Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser. It’s moderately scented and rich enough to be nourishing but not oily.

As it’s winter, my essential product which I could not live without is the Elemis SOS Emergency Cream. It’s ideal for pesky dry patches and reduces any redness. I find it best applied at night time though because it can be a tad sticky for the day. I’ve recently been recommended to try the Organic Surge Million Dollar Anywhere Balm which is meant to have a very light texture despite being a balm so I will have to compare and see how well it works!

Believe it or not that’s it for my skincare routine! It may not look like a lot but I like to keep things simple and uncomplicated, stress is not good for the soul!

What’s your daily skincare routine at the moment? Are you currently using any of the products I’ve listed? 🙂

Please let me know in a comment!
