Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream Review
I hope you’re all well and had a great weekend! 🙂 Did you all get up to much for Mothers Day?
So today I wanted to share with you my Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream Review! I received this in my March GlossyBox – The Harrods Edition!
Initially this wasn’t the product I was most excited about using. However having run out of Vaseline Essential Moisture Body Butter, I turned my attention to Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream and I’m glad I did!
As this is a sample sized product from my GlossyBox, the Body Cream is packaged in a flatish tube with screw top lid! This is gonna be great for packing into my overnight bag when I pop to London and see my boyfriend at the weekend. 🙂
The cream itself is quite rich and thick when you’re squeezing it out of the tube, but it blends into the skin really easily which is fantastic! I did notice that my skin felt “smoothed out” and kept very soft and hydrated. Also since I’m always rushing around, it’s nice that little things like “easy to blend” cream makes my life that little bit more efficient. Having used it consistently for a week though, I haven’t noticed much in terms of “toning and lifting”, but perhaps I need to give it more time! “Comforting” however is an attribute which Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream certainly lives up to. The smell is really quite lush – a quite subtle, but fruity kinda scent and this is definitely what makes it comforting to use!
This is the first Clarins product I’ve used and I must say I am quite pleased! The price is a little bit off putting though. It retails at about £40 for 200ml which you can get from department stores such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and John Lewis. You can also buy it from some large Boots stores, if not you can definitely find it online! £40 just seems a bit drastic for a body cream, when inexpensive brands such as Palmer’s Cocoa Butter, Vaseline or Johnson’s Baby Lotion can moisturise equally as well!
So did anyone else get this as part of their March GlossyBox? Has anyone used it or know of someone who uses it?
Love Sophia xo
