Revlon Colorstay Liquid Pen Eyeliner Review

On my last visit to Boots, I had a £3 voucher to spend on any Revlon product so decided on the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Pen Eyeliner. Whilst it was tempting to buy another lipstick or nail polish, I went for the practical option and bought the eyeliner which is what I needed! 🙂

The Revlon Colorstay Liquid Pen Eyeliner is packaged like most other eyeliners. However compared to my favourite Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner, the applicator is more like a sturdy pen rather than a soft felt tip. It draws much sharper lines and I can create a cat eye flick must easier. Using the very top the pen allows you to create the thinnest lines, but if you angle it more towards a slant you can produce thicker lines. It’s also very pigmented and I don’t need to go over the liner a few times to achieve a bold finish.

Sadly I do have to point out that it doesn’t stay put very well. If I so much as touch my eye area it will smudge the eyeliner, and this isn’t even after it’s been freshly applied but after a good number of hours so I have to reapply quite frequently . 🙁

Also there’s a permanent marker type smell to it which isn’t very appealing.

It definitely has the potential to be a good eyeliner, but I think on this occasion when I run low I’ll be heading straight back to Stila!
