Foreo Luna Review
For me, cleansing and exfoliating has always just been a combination of good products and a face flannel so using an electronic device in that process had never even occurred to me until now. However having used the Foreo Luna* I can definitely see why more and more people are gradually incorporating these facial devices regularly as part or their skin care routines!
The design of the Foreo Luna is not like anything I’ve ever come across before and it’s certainly “interesting” to say the least. Even my boyfriend raised an eyebrow when I unveiled it from the box!
The Foreo Luna is made of silicone and the top section has these tiny touch points. This combined with the T-Sonic Pulsations help to remove dead skin cells, cleanses your pores of dirt and oil build up and residual makeup.
To use I apply my favourite cleanser, dampen the touch points with warm water, turn the Luna on and proceed to gently massage my face using circular motions. For the nose area, using the curve of the Luna I guide it round to ensure the nodules can reach to cleanse thoroughly. As for the area around the eye which is very delicate, I turn the pulsations down to a minimum before cleansing to prevent any unnecessary damage.
As well as a cleansing/exfoliating device, if you flip the Foreo Luna over you can use it for anti-ageing and for better absorption of serums and moisturisers into your skin.
It’s 100% waterproof so no need to worry about getting it in contact with water. Since it is waterproof it also makes it much easier to maintain and after every use I wash the nodules with some anti bacterial hand wash. No need for replacement heads every few months!
The bottom half of the device includes the power button in the middle and also the plus and minus buttons used for controlling the speed of the pulsations.
After using this for just over 2 months I’ve definitely noticed the difference in my skin compared to when I wasn’t using it. My face always feels incredibly soft after each use and my skin has been looking plumper and much brighter. I haven’t had any break outs from using the Luna but I know the Clarisonic Mia caused people some problems.
What I also love about the Luna is that the charge lasts for a very long time! Since the first charge I haven’t actually needed to recharge it yet which is convenient since I’m really bad at remembering to charge things!
There are 3 devices to choose from depending on your skin type. White – Ultra Sensitive skin, Pink – Sensitive/Normal skin and Blue – Combination skin.
The Foreo Luna is priced at £145 and can be purchased online or from Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.
There’s also a mini Luna which comes in a wide range of colours at £99 each.
Have you tried the Foreo Luna?

Hi! Thanks for the review! I have been looking for a review for the blue combination skin luna. Seems like most people bought/was sent the pink one for reviewing. Do you think the two rows of thicker bristles make a huge difference?! I have combo-oily skin but I really want it in pink!
Thanks for the review as well. I actually have the same question as Hannah, that if the two rows of thicker britles made difference while you are using it? I have combination skin but I really want it in pink too.

Hi, hope you’re well! I haven’t tried the pink one so couldn’t really comment, but I honestly didn’t notice any difference. I would imagine that the two rows of thicker bristles are to make the whole device more balanced as the blue one is for combination skin. Hope this helps! xo
This product is SO useless. It’s a silicone vibrator. Changing the bristles at the top does NOT make it good for combination skin. You’re better off buying an actual solution or lotion than using this. There’s no science behind this. This is not beauty magic. This is a silicone vibrator much like a sex toy. Spend your money elsewhere.

Hey there, sorry to hear that the product didn’t work for you. I do agree that it’s not magic, but in my experience I found it has helped to improve my skin. Like with most products it can sometimes work for people and sometimes not as everyone’s skin types and concerns are different. x
This is the perfect website for anyone who wants to understand this topic.
You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you
(not that I personally would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a fresh spin on a subject that has been discussed for
a long time. Great stuff, just wonderful!
