Revlon Ultimate Suede Finale Lipstick Review

Every woman needs to have that one good red lipstick in their life. One which gives your lips just the right amount of oompf and makes you stand out from the crowd. Well I think I’ve found mine and it comes in the form of Revlon’s Ultimate Suede lipstick in shade 095 Finale!

I do already own another Ultimate Suede lipstick in 001 Silhouette which I bought in Hong Kong but as much as I’ve been trying to love it, the shade just really hasn’t been working for me. However when I heard the Ultimate Suede lipsticks were being launched in the UK I couldn’t resist popping into Boots and picking up another colour!

Finale is an orange based red which I think works well with my skin tone. I love how it instantly brightens up my complexion and gives me a burst of colour, making me look full of life amongst all the drab weather we’ve been having (aside from the past 2 days which happen to have been quite nice!) The application is really smooth and just glides happily on to my lips.

The most impressive thing about the Ultimate Suede lipsticks is that they are so long wearing! I can’t actually remember the last time that I had a lipstick which stuck around longer than a few hours. I’ve been applying just one layer when doing my makeup and don’t actually need to reapply for the rest of the day. Despite the fact that once the initial bold red colour has worn off, you are still left with a bright red stain which looks like you’re still wearing a lipstick of some sort! This is definitely the type of product I need in my life especially when sometimes I get so busy it’s difficult to retouch my makeup.

The finish of the Ultimate Suede lipsticks is matte, but with a soft touch so I guess a bit like suede! My lips do feel a little bit dry when I’m wearing the lipstick, but in reality they’re really not! Even after I remove it all at the end of the day my lips don’t feel in the slightest bit parched which means the lipstick hasn’t been dehydrating my lips in any way.

Overall it’s just a really fantastic lipstick which doesn’t smudge all over the place and withstands food and drink, what more could you need?!
