Country Living Fair 2013
I’m a lover of all things Christmas and despite it sadly being quite commercialised these days, nothing gets me into that festive feeling quicker than Christmas fairs! So on the 3rd November, I popped along to the Country Living Fair 2013, held at the Business Design Centre in Islington and experienced a little glimpse of Christmas!
As soon as I stepped into the exhibition hall I was filled with so much Christmas spirit (despite it only being November!) and there was a huge array of stalls filled to the brim with Christmas decorations and thoughtful present ideas; something for everyone.
You’re instantly enveloped by the smells of spiced orange and cinnamon in the air. There were delicately designed wreaths and also some outstanding contributions to the Christmas decoration world like this huge Santa!
If like me your Christmas tree isn’t like the ones straight out of a catalogue, but instead is decorated with ornaments and trinkets which hold a lot of memories then you’d love these adorable tree decorations!
What I liked most about the Country Living Fair was that almost all of the stalls were selling handcrafted goods, so you can support independent brands and businesses as well as picking up something unique!
Christmas isn’t always about buying presents too. Why not make some delicious treats for your family and friends? Leith’s Cooking School held demonstrations and showed us how to create some yummy sweet treats like Meringue Grissini and Honeycomb to savoury delights ranging from Beetroot and Orange Cured Salmon and Smoked Paprika and Spiced Popcorn. All exceedingly delicious and will suit any tastebud!
I definitely recommend going along to Country Living Fair if you’re looking for some Christmas inspiration! Since then all I’ve been thinking about is Christmas and how it can’t come round quick enough. 🙂
Have you been to the Country Living Fair?
