Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray Review

This is a review which I’ve been meaning to write for a while and since I’m nearly all out, I thought it’d be a good time to share my views on the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray Review 1

Now and then I find it hard to resist buying products which everyone else seems to be raving about, and the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray is just one of those things!

I did previously mentioned it in my July Favourites post and have already said that I’m very minimal when it comes to hair care. A wash and a blow dry generally does it for me, and occasionally if I have time on my hands I may even add a curl or two. However when I heard about the volume inducing properties of the Surf Spray I was intrigued and since it’s a spray (easy application) I thought, why not? The bottle is an interesting rubbery feel which makes it really easy to grip on to.

I spray this all over damp hair, concentrating on the crown of my head and leave to part dry naturally before running it through with a hair dryer.

The results are immediately noticeable afterwards. My hair is instantly lifted, fuller and has a lot of texture without looking dry. They also say the less you touch it the more the volume will hold? Well as much as I do enjoy using the Surf Spray I’ve come to find that the volume doesn’t hold for me as long as it could. I think it might just be my hair though which is naturally straight so I find for me styles never really hold for very long. Any tips or products I should use which might help? I do love the texture of my hair afterwards though and that ‘bed head’ look but realistically I could achieve that from wax or clay.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray Review 3

The Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray retails at £20.50 so it’s pretty pricey for a spray. I probably won’t repurchase, but will instead look into something which is a bit more purse friendly. Suggestions anyone?

Have you tried the Surf Spray? Are there other products you think work better?

Love Sophia xo

Love your ombre hair! Did you do it yourself or get it done at a salon? x

Thanks!! 🙂 My hair is actually a result of me not being bothered to re-dye my roots 🙂 I was thinking about going back to my natural hair colour so completely left it as it is. I would probably do it at a salon though if I was to get it done xx

I’ve never tried B&B Surf Spray but VO5 has a cheaper alternative (http://www.vo5.co.uk/extreme/products/surfStyleSpray) which I have used, I wouldn’t say it gave me volume, but it did give my hair a nice texture, especially for styling.
