Living Nature Makeup Review

I was recently given the opportunity to sample some products from the Living Nature makeup range and must say I’m impressed! One of Living Nature’s best qualities is that they pride themselves on producing products which are made using 100% natural ingredients from the native plants of New Zealand.

Living Nature Lipstick – Summer Rain*

Summer Rain is a berry pink colour and is true to shade even on the lips. The formula is moisturising and gives a subtle sheen, which makes my lips look more on the fuller side. I tend to wear more lighter pink shades, but it’s a nice contrast and is perfect for the autumn (despite the name being summer rain!) Living Nature lipsticks are made from vegetable waxes which aids with the smooth application and they are committed to being free from lead and other synthetic preservatives. Who knew lipsticks could contain something as toxic as lead?!

Living Nature Clear Light’s Tinted Moisturiser – Dawn Light*

Throughout the summer I had been on the look out for a lightweight, sheer coverage tinted moisturiser to use in place of foundation during the warmer weather. Despite autumn slowly creeping up on us, Living Nature’s Clear Light’s tinted moisturiser still makes for a great base and is perfect for days when you’re looking to keep your makeup looking fresh with a semi-matte finish. It’s minus SPF though so be wary when you’re out in the sun. The only other thing I would add is that I’m not a big fan of the scent! It’s not perfumed which is expected with a natural product, but the smell is a bit too herbally for my liking. With some things it does take some getting used to I suppose, so I’ll see how I get on.

Living Nature Summer Bronze Pressed Powder*

The summer bronze pressed powder comes in a weighty black compact, complete with bronzer brush. This is such a pretty bronzer with subtle shimmer and I love the Living Nature logo that is stamped in. I actually don’t tend to wear bronzer, but it’s been great for contouring my face and giving me a sun kissed glow. You only have to use the tiniest amount though as I find if you’re too heavy handed it made me look a bit too overdone!

Living Nature Lip Pencil – Woods*

I tend to skip lip liner when I’m wearing lipstick. I know I should wear it more often though and I’ve been told so many times that it helps to make the colour look more vibrant and last a lot longer! This Living Nature lip pencil is really creamy and soft. It’s pigmented as well so could even be worn alone in place of lipstick!

Overall

Prices are a touch more expensive than your average high street brand, but given the quality and the igredients used you are effectively getting what you pay for – natural, chemical free makeup. You can buy Living Nature makeup from their website or from Feelunique.

I really like it too! I was quite nervous as it’s a shade which is darker than what I normally wear but it actually turned out well x
