100 Day Spending Ban

100 Day Spending Ban

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! As it’s the start of a new month (and technically new year) I thought I would set myself the challenge of participating in a 100 Day Spending Ban.

100 Day Spending Ban

I used to be quite bad when it comes to shopping. I’m a sucker for a bargain and love to buy the latest blogger must haves, but recently I’ve turned a new leaf! Hong Kong was the true test and I like to think now I can be quite controlled when it comes to shopping. So the ultimate test is to see if I can withhold spending for 100 days.

100 days starting from today (2nd February) means that my finishing date will be Monday 12th May 2014. So essentially that means I can’t buy anything for about 3 months… *and breathe*

Saying it out loud does scare me a little bit BUT it goes without saying that it’ll be a good opportunity for me to use up existing products as well as save some money! I haven’t got a specific thing I want to save up for, but it’ll be nice even just to have the extra cash for spending when I do eventually want to.

Throughout the ban I’m going to provide weekly updates on my progress and make little wish lists to motivate me during my time of no spending!

If anyone else wants to take part and keep me company (as well as stop me going insane from not buying things) leave me a comment below and together we will stop spending money!

The funny thing is now that I’ve set myself the spending ban, I’m sure there’s going to be a million and one things that I think I need BUT it’s going straight onto a wish list rather than my shopping basket.

I’ll keep you all updated!

Love Sophia xo

Haha, it sounds scary at first but I’m coming up to my first week and other than food I haven’t bought or thought about buying any products or clothes 🙂 x
