Nail Of The Day: Essie Aruba Blue Nail Polish Review

This is actually more of a nail of the week since I’ve been wearing this shade since Monday! Anyway, I noticed I haven’t written about nail polish for a while which is largely due to the fact that I haven’t painted them in ages! I do go through phases with my nails and depending on how much time I have on hand determines when I pay them attention! This week has been a good week though and I’ve tended to them as any person should and chose to paint them using Essie Aruba Blue nail polish!

I picked up Aruba Blue along with Mint Candy Apple and Fiji a while ago, but have only recently got round to using it. I’ve been really in love with pastel/neutral colours lately so I completely neglected this new addition to my collection.

To be honest I think I should have used this colour first because I absolutely adore it! Aruba Blue is an opulent sapphire blue, very pigmented with beautiful shimmers. Despite the fact that shimmers for the day can sometimes be overwhelming, Aruba Blue actually remains looking really sophisticated and is vibrant enough for any outfit.

It glides on so smoothly on to the nails and has an opaque finish after just 1 coat! Despite the fact that Mint Candy Apple and Fiji are of the same brand, neither of them quite compare to how lovely it is to apply Aruba Blue. I find Aruba Blue much more long lasting too and shows hardly any chipping even after 1 week.

Overall a brilliant nail polish colour and certainly one I’m going to be reaching for more often!
