Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm Review
The Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm only made it on my wish list a few weeks ago, but after finishing off my Murad Essential C Cleanser (and a cheeky trip to Space NK later) I came away with this gem! This has actually knocked all my previous favourites off the top spot and is now my new number one love.
The Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is as the name suggests – a balm cleanser with a whole lot of ingredients: Moringa seed extract, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E, Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts. Jasmine (which is probably why I keep smelling Chinese Tea), cedarwood and Rose. All encased in a weighty plastic jar. Mixed with a few drops of water it creates a milky cleansing oil which makes for more fluid application onto the skin! I massage into my face and then buff with a hand hot, wrung out muslin cloth. It removes all traces of makeup too which is another reason why this Cleaning Balm has completely won me over.
There are no words to express just how incredible my face feels afterwards. Having never used a cleansing balm before I didn’t know what to expect and was having visions of an overly greasy face. Instead my skin laps up all the goodness and the end result is glowing, plump skin! I had a break out recently and within a week it’s actually neutralised the redness and soothed my skin no end.
Of all my cleansers this has definitely got to be my most expensive to date at £34 for a 100ml jar. To justify this, you do only have to use a little at a time so this baby is going to last you for a good couple of months! If you’re a regular visitor to the Feelunique website you may have also seen it going for £27.20 (of which I missed out!) but I’m sure another offer will crop up in future. You can also buy the Cleansing Balm from Space NK and John Lewis.
Have you ever tried Emma Hardie’s Cleaning Balm? What’s your favourite type of cleanser?
Love Sophia xo
I’ve read a lot of good things about this cleanser, I can only imagine using something like this when it’s colder because my greasy summer wouldn’t be able to take it!
Do you have to mix it with water?
Author
Yeah you mix a tiny bit of water with it to create the cleansing milk type consistency. I have combination skin and so far it hasn’t caused mine to become over greasy or anything like that 🙂 in fact my skin feels more balanced! I’d keep an eye out on the Feelunique website because if they had it on sale once, I’m sure they will again. x
Thanks Sophia for sharing this blog post and bringing this cleansing balm to my attention. The natural ingredients sound great and I look forward to giving this a test drive on myself before we start recommending it to clients ta the salon
