Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel Review

Hi guys! So it’s Sunday night and I’m just chilling in bed and thought I would write a post for all you out there who are looking for a little midnight reading =)

This Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel review follows on from my previous Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner review. The Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel was included in a set which I purchased from Laneige along with the various other items which I will review later on!

My first impression of the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel is that it is soothing and refreshing on the skin. This is particularly essential for that sensitive area underneath the eye. The gel is a milky white colour and in the jar it looks thick, but it is actually of a very light consistency. The gel sits in a small blue jar and comes with a spatula for scooping out the product. I like that it comes with a spatula as it keeps everything somewhat hygienic and sanitary since you don’t have to keep dipping your fingers into the jar! The spatula has Laneige embossed on it too which is pretty cool! You only need to use a little at a time so needless to say, even though I’ve been using this eye gel daily I haven’t even made that much of a dent in the 30ml jar yet!

How I use it:
I use the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel every morning and every night after I have cleansed my face and before any other face product. I normally scoop out a tiny blob and divide this to cover both eyes. I then gently pat this under my eye area and then go around in a circle covering just below the brow bone and back round again. This gives the gel a chance to settle in the skin before I start layering on other products!

Verdict:
I’ve been using this eye gel for about 3 months now and I must say that it keeps my eye area hydrated every time I use it! Laneige are true to their word when describing the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel as a “Revitalizing and moisturising eye gel.” It also doesn’t give me Milia, which are those small, white spots which can sometimes appear under the eye, on the cheeks or on the eyelid. Anyway, so as much as I love having well nourished peepers, this eye gel unfortunately does absolutely nothing for dark circles! Although it doesn’t claim that it minimises dark circles or anything like that, it would have been perfect if it could! For someone like me who does have dark circles, this Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel is not quite hitting the spot for me in that respect. However if you tend to have very faint dark circles or if you’re lucky to not have any at all then this eye gel would be perfect for you! It’s suitable for ‘all skin types’ so you don’t have to fret if you have sensitive, normal or combination skin – it works for everyone!
