July Favourites

I have a few products which I’ve been really enjoying this month so I thought I’d have a go at writing a monthly favourites post. I’m trying to vary my posts a little and give you all something different to read, so let me know what you think – it would be great to have some comments! šŸ™‚

July Favourites 1

So to start off is the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray which is a product that is no stranger to the blogging world. Despite the fact that I have long hair I don’t nearly do as much with it as I could, but the Surf Spray gives me the option of adding texture and volume with minimum fuss! I find it’s best applied to damp hair of which I then dry using a hairdryer with my head upside down. When applied dry I ended up with clumpy bits of hair rather than effortless beach babe waves!

Next up is theĀ Real Techniques Blush Brush.Ā Having fallen in love with theĀ Core Collection I knew I had to add more brushes to my collection. Incredibly dense, soft bristles it’s great for picking up blusher and powder products. What I’m most impressed about is that even after washing the Real Techniques brushes there is no shedding! It makes washing brushes a pleasure rather than a chore.

Fourth and fifth favourites are the L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick (03 Lovely Rose) and L’Oreal Miss Candy Glam Shine Lip Gloss (107 Bubble Pink). TheĀ L’Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in Lovely Rose is the perfect bubblegum pink with a gloss finish. They are reminiscent of the Revlon Lip Butters which made their appearance at around the same time, but in all honestly I prefer the Rouge Caresse lipsticks! It applies like a lip balmĀ and has all the moisturising qualities of one,Ā incorporatedĀ with lasting power which is considerably improved compared to the Lip Butters. The L’Oreal Miss Candy Glam Shine Lip Gloss is a deliciously yummy, high shine gloss which layered over Lovely Rose gives lips a touch of kissable oompf! I love the way the lip gloss is packaged in a candy striped pattern, a bit of girly fun for any makeup bag!

July Favourites 2

Here I’ve also got theĀ Caudalie Beauty Elixir which I purchased in the smaller size for experimental purposes. A couple of spritzes before bed time, and first thing in the morning, my face is instantly hydrated and feels super soft. It has a minty smell which is both refreshing, soothing and the rosemary does wonders for reducing redness. Since I purchased the 30ml it’s small enough to pop in my bag and take around with me for moments when I fancy freshening up!

TheĀ Active 7 Radiant Eye GelĀ I actually received free in the August issue of Red Magazine! I find it really helps to smooth the area around my eyes and keeps them moisturised. I haven’t really noticed the effect on my dark circles yet though so I’ll have to update you when I finish, but for a sample size there is a generous amount of product!

July Favourites 4

Now we have my favourites,Ā Shu Uemura False Eyelashes,Ā the only false lashes that I’m happy to spend money on. They add volume and length to my own lashes whilst still looking natural and fluttery. I can get at least 10 wears out of them which is more than value for money. There’s such a vast selection too so if you’re feeling moreĀ adventurousĀ you can try out the other pretty and imaginative designs. Combined with the Shu Uemura lash glue (which I absolutely swear by!) these babies stay put all day!

So I hope you enjoyed my July favourites! What are your favourite products from last month? I’d love to hear recommendations!

I’ve seen so much love for the real techniques brushes. I am so interested in them but I just bought a full set from sedona lace which is waiting to arrive! So excited. The set I got was designed by a YT beauty guru Ive watched for years

I love the pixiwoo girls though! There YT channel is a daily visit so I imagine they’re amazing.

Oo I’ve not heard of Sedona Lace before! Which YT Beauty Guru designed them? I’ll have to take a look šŸ™‚ I was a big fan of Sigma brushes for ages before Real Techniques, but now I’m a complete convert! It’s great that you can buy them from your local Boots too xx

I’m happy that you like the Ren freebie too! Would you consider purchasing the full sized products? I really wanna try the Ren masks, heard some good reviews on them! And yeah the L’Oreal lip glosses are lovely! There were other pretty ones too, but this one was my fave! šŸ™‚ x
