June, July and August Empties
Firstly, apologies that this empties post is so late and a little bit lacking! I’ve made it a collective post as disappointingly I’ve used up hardly any products. I know previously while I was on my spending ban I did end up finishing a lot more products than normal, but I can’t think why I would’ve used less these past few months as I haven’t really bought anything new. I’m assuming it must mean that I’ve been getting my money’s worth whatever it is I’m using! Anyway, without further ado, here’s my June, July and August empties.
I finally managed to use up the rest of my Schwarzkopf Essence Ultîme Crystal Shine Conditioner after using the shampoo up much too quickly! This Crystal Shine Shampoo and Conditioner duo is something I really enjoyed using and would happily repurchase if it were on offer again. The Schwarzkopf Color Hair Mask complemented these products well and helped to maintain my hair’s colour and gave it a nice shine. I also loved using this Charles Worthington Shine Booster Shampoo and Conditioner duo as well as the Mineral Hair Rescue Masque. All 3 products were lightweight and left my hair feeling refreshingly clean, not to mention soft! I’ve actually already repurchased the shampoo and conditioner as I saw that it was on offer again. Definitely worth taking a look if you haven’t already done so!
Last but not least of the hair products is this small bottle of L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray. I rarely use hairspray so this has taken me quite a while to finish, but nonetheless it’s a good hairspray and does a great job of keeping hair in place without weighing it down or making it crispy. The size is ideal for travelling too if you want to touch up your hair whilst on the go.
I picked up this eyeliner on my last trip to Hong Kong. I believe it’s by a Japanese brand called Creer Beaute but I’m not entirely sure as I no longer have the original packaging! I love buying eyeliners in Hong Kong as they have a wider selection of brands available and most, if not all are water, sweat and oil proof which are essential qualities that I look for in my eyeliners. It actually lasted me quite a number of months which I’m pleased about as I feel it was worth the money, especially since I don’t remember it being very expensive and the formula was very pigmented. It was also waterproof which I liked as I’m prone to watery eyes so all in all a good little eyeliner, another product I recommend purchasing!
I don’t have much experience with using Boots own brand products, but these Essentials Cleansing Wipes were sadly not that great. I don’t actually use makeup wipes for cleansing, but rather for cleaning up makeup mistakes or wiping off excess product off the back of my hand, but these wipes were not up to scratch. They were often dry and the wipe itself didn’t hold its shape as you wiped, but instead stretched out, making it difficult to wipe any particular spot. For around £1 I wasn’t expecting too much, but I won’t be repurchasing these again.
I received the Melvita Eau de Fleurs Oranger Floral Water quite a while ago in my BBB Edit Box back in August last year, but it wasn’t until recently after having a little sort out did I think to give it a go. I’ve never actually used floral water before, but it was one of the best things I could’ve done for my face! After cleansing I gave my face a few spritzes, gently pat into my skin then proceeded with the rest of my skincare. Not only did it make my face super soft but it also smelt amazing too! This is high on my list for repurchasing come next pay day!
I’ve had this & Other Stories Shinjuku Bloom Body Wash for just over a year and have only just finished it. Since it was a little bit more expensive than my usual body washes, I decided to save it for days when I really wanted to pamper myself and relax. I’m sad that it’s now empty, but I’ve got every intention of repurchasing the Shinjuku Bloom scent again if not I’d love to try one of the other scents!
And that’s it for my June, July and August Empties, a short but sweet haul!
