Eyeshadows – I love to play around with them as much as the next person, but ultimately for me, nothing beats a good neutral colour which you can just swipe on to give your eyes a hint of sparkle! I have a growing collection of earthy, brown/bronze shades and have recently added a new one to the family, the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eyeshadow.

The Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eyeshadow which I picked up in ‘On and On Bronze’ is a gorgeous, metallic bronze/coppery shade.

The consistency of the eyeshadow is creamy and applies effortlessly to the eyelid! I do find it easier to use fingers for the application but for hygienic purposes it does also work well with a shader/blending brush. There is quite a depth to the pigmentation, but this colour doesn’t show up quite as bold (think it might be my skin tone!) as I’m sure the other colours would.

The staying power of the Colour Tattoo eyeshadow really is quite incredible, and I do have faith in their “24 Hour” claim (although I have never worn makeup for a full day, so who knows!) Having initially swatched the eyeshadow on the back of my hand to see how the colour comes out, it stayed put on my hand for ages and only came off after I used a cleanser. Same goes for my eyes too! It just stays put from the morning up until the moment I am removing my makeup for bed! No creases either and I didn’t even wear an eye primer, thumbs up!

The Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eyeshadow is great for keeping handy in your bag and adding a nice shimmer for the eyes, day or night! There’s a fair number of shades available including: ‘Eternal Gold, Endless Purple, Turquoise Forever, Immortal Charcoal, Permanent Taupe and Eternal Silver.

It actually reminds me of the Chanel Illusion d’Ombre eyeshadow, except not as expensive at only £4.99 each!

They’re available at the usual drugstores – Superdrug and Boots. Superdrug have actually included them in a 3 for 2 offer at the moment if you were hoping to give them a try!

So have you tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eyeshadows yet? Do you have a favourite cream based eyeshadow that you like to use?

Love Sophia xo
