Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

Hi everyone!

Hope you’ve all been having a great week =) I am soooo glad it’s finally the weekend AND it’s only 23 days till Christmas! I am very excited but I just can’t believe how quickly it’s come around this year.

ANYWAY, just wanted to talk about another recent addition to my make-up collection – the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I am a little behind in making this purchase, but when Debenhams recently had the 10% off promotion I just could not resist! I know Urban Decay have just released Naked 2, but I wanted to recap on how brilliant the original is. So here is my Urban Decay Naked Palette Review!

First up, I just love the packaging! It comes in a velvet case, embossed with gold lettering on the lid. Inside it has a mirror which is ideal for travelling and underneath it has NAKED printed in gold. It also comes with an eyeshadow brush and the bristles are soft, but firm which is nice for application!

There’s 12 colours to choose from, 2 matt and the other 10 are shimmery, metallic colours. My 2 favourite shades are ‘Smog’ and ‘Toasted’ but they’re all such beautiful colours!

I don’t find that the 2 matt colours, ‘Naked’ and ‘Buck’ come out particular well on my skin, especially ‘Naked’. However they would both make a nice base for more eyeshadow to be layered on top.

The shades are great for mixing around and creating lovely natural looks. I do love wearing dramatic looks if I know I’m going out, but I tend to stick more to simple looks during the day and this palette is perfect for achieving this. It really lives up to its name, ‘NAKED’. I’ve used NAKED for a few days already and I can’t get enough, definitely one of the best investments I’ve made this year!

So what were your initial impressions of this NAKED palette? Are you excited for NAKED 2?

Love Sophia xo

Glad my post was helpful 🙂 I hope you enjoy the Naked Palette 1. Let me know how you get on with Naked 2, I haven’t got round to trying it out myself yet but it looks gorgeous! xx
