Rimmel Apocalips Review
I know this product is much talked about at the moment and whilst I tried hard to resist, I too ended up jumping on the band wagon and purchasing the Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers!
After seeing the endless swatches of the Apocalips shades circulating online I was just so impressed and couldn’t resist nabbing a few as I passed a nearby Boots!
The Apocalips come in a lipgloss style tube complete with doe foot applicator, but the lacquer itself when applied looks just like a highly pigmented lipstick with a lustrous gloss finish to it!
I chose 3 shades:
Big Bang – A firey, orange red shade. Despite it looking super bold this is my favourite shade of the 3! I’m normally pretty shy with bright colours, but Big Bang just blew me away! I find this colour to be more warm toned compared to a lot of other red shades which I think is why I’ve taken to it so well.
Stellar – A stunning neon pink colour. Despite the brightness, Stellar is actually very fun and wearable. It really helps to perk up even the simplest of looks with a nice boost of vibrant colour.
Apocalyptic – A blue-based fuchsia shade. Slightly less bold compared to the other 2 but I think it’s girly and a fab all rounder colour for wearing both day and night!
The Apocalips are considerably moisturising and kept my lips hydrated all throughout the day which I wasn’t expecting! The colour pay off is also exceptional for a high street lip product and withstands food and drink pretty well without the need to touch up frequently.
Having never owned lip lacquers before, I honestly can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on! You get both the benefits of a lipstick plus gloss all in one tube and for £7.99 each is not bad at all. They’re currently 3 for 2 at Boots so I’d grab them whilst you can!
So, hands up who went out and bought the Rimmel Apocalips too? 😉

Actually wrote the wrong email in the last one but I have the right one on this post! x

Hey Bernadette, sorry for the delayed reply! Which colour Apocalips did you get? I think Apocalpytic would be the nicest colour for your outfit. Sometimes it’s ok to let your makeup clash a little so it stands out amongst the crowd. 🙂 when wearing green though I always go for pink over red, hope that helps!
